Piston is an interactive part in Scrap Mechanic.
Overview[]
Pistons extend when they receive a signal from a Trigger.
Like Bearings, Pistons connected to a Controller can be sequenced by using the controller interface. Unlike Bearings, they can have their extend length and speed configured within the Piston itself, making a Controller not necessary for simple extending and retracting. The player may not open the GUI to edit the Piston if a controller is connected. A Piston needs an object placed onto its head to extend or retract.
The arm of an extended Piston is not solid.
Pistons have a range from 1 block to 15 blocks with various speeds. Here, the piston is shown in all 15 lengths.
