Produce Crate is a type of object in Scrap Mechanic.
Overview[ | ]
Produce Crates are created by packing Food items using a Packing Station. They are used in Trading.
Each crate requires a stack (10) of a food item to create.
Produce Crates are 7 x 7 x 6 blocks in size and can be carried by holding right mouse. Place them down by left-clicking. They cannot be stored in an inventory by design.
Vehicles or other creations with Produce Crates attached to them cannot be moved by a Lift. If a vehicle carrying Produce Crates gets stuck or flips over, the Produce Crates will need to be manually removed before the Lift can be used again.

Trivia[ | ]
- Produce Crates appear to have much more than 10 of each item in them.
- Initially Produce Crates would be found at Warehouse barrack structures or inside of the building. These Fruit Crates (their early name) were later replaced with Stone Crate, Tree Crate and Hay Crate. Original mesh and texture files belonging to Fruit Crates can still be found in the files.
