Upgrades are improvements to particular Interactive Parts in Scrap Mechanic.

Overview[ | ]

Upgrading requires a certain number of Component Kits per level. Most Interactive Parts follow an arithmetic sequence of 1-2-3-4-5, resulting in the total number of Component Kits needed for level 5 being 15. This is an arithmetic sequence following the formula x=n(n + 1)/2, where n is the level you want to reach, and x is the total number of Component Kits required to reach it. Some Interactive Parts like the Thruster deviate from this rule, as the Thruster starts off at 10 Component Kits required to reach level 1.
