Weld Tool is a tool in Scrap Mechanic.
Overview[]
The Weld Tool can attach any pre-existing object or group of connected objects to another. This is useful for making an object rotate along two Bearings (with or without Gas Engine, Electric Engine, or Controller) instead of one, and to reattach pieces of a creation that have fallen off while it is on a Lift and helps lag if welded to the ground.
Usage[]
When welding a pre-existing object to another creations, press the left mouse button on a specific part of the object, then press the left mouse button on a part of the creation that you want again to weld it. You can also weld things to the ground if you put a block on the ground then weld a pre-existing object to it.
The welding plane of the object being attached is indicated by a blue square.
It is also possible to weld two parts of the same creation that are attached to two different Bearings. To do this, make sure the creation is on the lift and that the parts are touching each other. Then, simply hold left mouse button on the first part and drag to the other part, let go to weld them together.
